Primary Program

Serving ages 3 to 6 years old

Children ages 3 years to 6+ years comprise the Primary Class.  With the mixed age group, our children develop a sense of community where the younger children learn from the older students, and the older children mentor and become positive role models for the younger students.  While the older children are academically challenged and gain leadership roles, the youngsters in the class get a glimpse of the opportunities and challenges ahead.

Students in the Primary Class explore and actively learn in our thoughtfully prepared Montessori classrooms where the materials have been chosen to meet their developmental needs.  Teachers observe and guide each child’s readiness and mastery of skills and lessons. The students are encouraged to learn at their own pace through the use of self-correcting Montessori materials and activities, exploration and discovery, and group interaction.  Students in the Primary Class naturally develop a love for learning with guidance and encouragement to reach his/her own full potential.
